马可波罗是商人，也是冒险家，他的一生可谓精彩纷呈，波澜壮阔，远远超出了时人的想象力。
有意思的是，他充满浪漫主义色彩的旅途见闻，在元朝时的中国无人置疑，而在他的故乡威尼斯，则被视为天方夜谭。
