熊猫英文图书奖（panda book awards) 始于2008年。当时，来自北京的几大国际学校的图书管理员们，为了帮助孩子们找到当前流行的，受欢迎的书目，组成了熊猫奖委员会(panda awards steering committee)。 首先，这些老师们，自己先读各种书，不同年龄段，不同题材，不同流派，不同风格。之后，一起讨论，评价，筛选，同时也参考其他老师，学生的推荐。最后，列出一份精挑细选的，紧跟图书界国际潮流的，涵盖多样主题的，英文进阶图书清单。一共四个年龄段，每个段，8到10本书。
从暑假起，孩子们就开始读。等中国新年假回来后，开始投票，一个年龄段选出一本最受大家喜爱的。这就是熊猫英文图书奖，上一年度的评选结果如下：▼
8年来，熊猫英文图书奖的影响力不断上升。开始时，还只在北京的国际学校圈里流行，发展到上一届，来自6个国家，40多所国际学校，5700多名学生，参与了投票。

找来度娘，简单介绍一下这位诗人，肯明思1915年毕业于哈佛大学，毕业的演说以《新艺术》为题，对现代艺术，主要是立体主义，未来主义的绘画，作了大胆的肯定。
第一次世界大战期间，肯明思参加过救护车队在法国战地的工作，进过集中营，之后用超现实主义手法，把这段经历写进《巨大的房间》一书。战后在巴黎和纽约学习绘画，并开始写诗，善于用辛辣的讥讽，表达他对现实生活中丑恶面的蔑视和挑战。肯明思把现代资本主义社会中野蛮的争夺，感情上的冷漠，行为中的伪善称为“非人类”或“非世界”，以漫画式的笔调，加以嘲弄和鞭挞。
肯明斯有些诗集的题名离奇古怪, 诗行参差不齐, 在语法和用词上也是别出心裁。词语任意分裂，标点符号异乎寻常，除了强调一般不用大写，将“i”写成“i”, 将自己的名字写成了“e.e.cummings”, 因此他又常常被称为“小写的肯明思” 。
